Is there a way?

Times are tough, the day we’re in sometimes seems weird or even surreal.

We may look and wonder is there really a way out of this? It’s normal to look at our circumstances and get tunnel vision. No escape in sight.

The Children of Israel were in a situation where it seemed there was no escape in sight, they cried out for deliverance and God heard them and responded.(Exodus 3:7a And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;)

God sent his faithful servant Moses to send a message to Pharaoh. (Exodus 3:10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.) Moses tells Pharaoh the Lord God of Israel says let my people go. (Exodus 5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.) After God’s persuasion through many signs and wonders performed through Moses and Aaron , Pharaoh relinquished his hold on God’s people and chased them out of the land of Egypt.

God’s people are celebrating as they exit the Land of Goshen, excited in the moment as they depart from the rule of Pharaoh. They are feeling the freedom, no more restraints, no more Egyptian task master, they are on their way.

God guides the children of Israel through the desert with a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Just as they thought they were out, A huge obstacle shows up, and this is a biggie! The Red Sea before them, and the wide open wilderness with Pharaoh and his army bearing down behind them. The people begin to murmur, why did you bring us out into the desert to die, why didn’t you leave us in Egypt, why would you take us away to die in the wilderness.

Exodus 14;11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?

Did you know that God is the way maker? In the most impossible situations God shows Himself to us. Nothing is impossible with God.

God tells Moses in the midst of Pharaoh and the Egyptians closing in, “Stretch out your arm over the Sea. (Exodus 14;16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.)

God made a way where there seemed to be no way. The Sea parted and the Israelite people crossed to the other side, God even made it that they would walk through on dry ground. Pharaoh doubted the saving power of God, and the children of Israel even got caught up in doubt. Even after the signs that they saw and experienced while still captive in Egypt they did not trust they would be delivered.

Our God is an Awesome God. His love for you is immeasurable. His thoughts for you are greater than the number of the sands of the sea.

As we enter into a new year, 2021 know that God is in control.

Give Him your impossible situations and Trust Him to make your crooked paths straight.
